Welcome to our Power Surge Discussion!

    Shortly after being called as Pastor of First Church of Christ, Bedford, I introduced a model of doing church known as the “Discipleship” model.  I invited anyone interested in finding out more about this model and helping us discern if this model would work for our church to join me for a discussion group based on the book, Power Surge by Michael Foss.  The book outlines the six marks of what a discipleship-modeled church looks along with how this model could be implemented in a church.

     I am inviting anyone interested in the discipleship model church and how it might be applied to our church here in Bedford, to join me at the church on Thursday Evenings at 7:00 p.m., beginning on July 11^th, for discussion and discernment.  

     Unfortunately, there are some people who cannot make these Thursday evenings.  To add as many folks as possible to the discussion, I have created this blog.  Over the weeks ahead, I will post some highlights of Foss' book as well as some of the comments that came out of our discussion.  I would invite all members and friends of First Church in Bedford to comment on this blog.

     I look forward to a summer of lively discussions and visioning of where God is leading us.
